The FOXHOLE Internet Radio Network will allow me to reach the world thru Music, Talk & Advocacy for Vets. You wanted to help, now you can.
My Story is:

My name is Michael S. Madsen, my friends call me “Military Mike” and I am a disabled combat veteran. I was born into a Sicilian family that was completely dysfunctional and broken. My Mother raised me to be more intelligent with my thoughts than aggressive with my muscles. I wanted to study at Georgia Tech and complete my legal training at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. My dreams were shattered when my Mother was shot and killed 11 days after my 15th birthday. December 12th, 1980. I finished High School and immediately joined the U.S. Army. I specialized in weapons maintenance and training. My title was Master Unit Trainer in Soviet and Warsaw Pact Weapons and Tactics. I was also a bodyguard for a Major General and upon completion of that extremely difficult mission, I applied to the U.S. Army Rotary Wing course. I graduated with 5 aircraft qualifications, my primary aircraft was the AH-1 Cobra and the rank of Warrant Officer.

While stationed in Germany, I got married and had the 1st of three beautiful children. After that, I was assigned to the 10th Mtn. Division, as the Flight Operations Officer during Desert Storm/Desert Shield.

After a break in service and 2 more kids, I went back into the GA. National Guard to handle the training of a deploying unit. Unable to get a transition into the LUH-72 Lakota, I was asked to join the unit and deploy to Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). While working in operations, I acted as a liaison for a Security detail for NATO/ISAF missions.

I was medically retired in January of 2013. I began volunteering for an organization that was like the Wounded Warrior program. Some sketchy decisions were made and I decided it wasn’t for me. Before leaving, I was invited to do an online interview with Just 4 Fun Radio with DJ Scottie. Being that I had done some Armed Forces Radio in Europe and talking on military communications for over 20 years, Dj Scottie asked me to join the team. After about 2 + years, I decided to branch out and do my own thing. Hence, the FOXHOLE Internet Radio Network is a tribute to the Foxhole Support Network that is a Vet 2 Vet support group. I have also participated in the Nationally Syndicated Documentary “Charlie Foxtrot”. This documentary brought into the light, that many veterans are suffering and the Veterans Administration was failing us.

Please consider helping me raise the finances needed to support this program. People always tell me “Thank you” for my service. I appreciate everyone that tells me that, I do…but now is the time to give Disabled Combat Veterans, a platform to reach out to each other and to be entertained while doing it. With a potential 7 Billion listeners, I have veterans and civilians alike, that are willing to support the FOXHOLE. Advertising and other entertainers are waiting for the “Green Light”. Please donate and let’s see what can happen in "The World According 2 Military Mike". Thank you.
